Our second best selling hand pie for those that like their savoury fully savoury: Egyptian Hawawshi!
Buttery, flaky rough puff pastry is filled with a blend of fatty grass-fed halal Angus beef and lamb, which makes such a juicy filling! Lots of fresh herbs and spices are added and our twist; a homemade wood-charred tomato paste. The pastry is crispy on the outside yet, with tender, moist layers on the inside.
We’ve shaped this hand pie as a round pita to resemble the traditional and to add more room for the patty to moisten and aerate the dough.
The quality of the meat truly shines and elevates the pastry. This is for our guests looking for a simple, comforting meal.

Storage & Preparation: Refrigerated for up to 5 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Thaw and reheat for 5-7 minutes at 175°C; best eaten warm straight out the oven!
